1. What is Metallic Filter Cartridge?
Metallic filter cartridge is one kind of metal cylindrical filter used to remove the contaminants in polymer or other liquid.
The filter body is several layers of metal wire cloth or metal wire cloth together with sintered metal fiber felt.

4. How to Maintain the Metallic Filter Cartridge?
1) Regular cleaning: Clean the filter element regularly according to the use environment and the degree of contamination of the filter element. The cleaning method includes heating the polymer to melt and then backwashing. If backwashing cannot be cleaned, you can use a weak acid or alkaline solution to soak for more than half an hour, and then backwash. In harsh working environments, more frequent cleaning may be required. Some industries may need to clean once every three months or once a month.
2) Avoid excessive use: During the filtration process, avoid excessive use of pleated filter elements to avoid shortening their service life. At the same time, avoid using metallic pleated filter cartridges in high temperature, high pressure, and highly corrosive environments.
3) Use the correct cleaning agent: When cleaning the filter element, use a cleaning agent suitable for the metallic filter cartridge material and avoid using chemicals that may damage the filter element.
4) Check the integrity of the metallic filter cartridge: Before replacing the metallic filter cartridge, check whether the metallic filter cartridge is damaged or deformed, which may affect the filtration effect.
5. When to Change the Metallic Filter Cartridge?
1) Increased pressure difference: When the pressure difference of the metallic filter cartridge reaches a certain value, it means that it may have been blocked by impurities, resulting in a decrease in filtration efficiency. At this time, the metallic filter cartridge needs to be replaced.
2) Decreased flow: If the flow of the metallic filter cartridge is significantly reduced, this may be a sign of clogging or damage to the metal pleated filter element and needs to be replaced in time.
3) Appearance damage: When the appearance of the metallic filter cartridge is damaged, deformed or discolored, it means that it can no longer work properly and needs to be replaced.
